Université de Montréal campus in Brossard

'' The project is an interior installation on the second floors of Tower B3 of the Solar Uniquartier complex, to house the Université de Montréal Campus in Brossard.

A true place of learning, experimentation and innovation with a surface area of 3,500 m2, it brings together 12 rooms and laboratories on two levels, a 125-seat auditorium and several agoras for relaxation and study, all equipped to offer the most innovative teaching modes (active, collaborative and autonomous learning, multimodal training, videoconferencing and virtual reality, etc.) as well as administrative and technical infrastructures.

Our approach is designed to express the Université de Montréal's presence in a heterogeneous context, by aiming for a distinct and clearly asserted identity for its spaces.

Using simple means, the expression of raw materials - polished concrete, wood, metal and coloured glass - we have sought an atmosphere that is both stimulating, made up of micro-places, surprises and contrasts, and at the same time soothing through a clear, simple reading. The exceptional natural light offered by the building envelope also enabled us to use it as a material in its own right, to characterize varied yet open spaces, with the proximity of REM as a visual landmark.
